What you can do to help save money and save resources

• Put a brick in the loo (Thames Water have them - as well as leaking pipes)

• Use green stuff and left over food to make compost (do the Rubbish Quiz and you might win a bin)

• Use long life low energy light bulbs around the house

• Get your house insulated and turn down the heating

• Get on the bus or walk - leave your car at home

• Switch off TVs, radios etc. when they are not in use

• Better still, don’t watch the telly, get fit - get an allotment - grow your own veg

• Buy locally grown food - cut down on food miles

• Recycle your unwanted goods - sell stuff on ebay or give it away on Freecycle.co.uk or just give it away to someone who could use it

• If you have got babies use old fashioned terry nappies - you will save pots of money just when you need it!
